By simply shopping, paying bills, and conducting business with publicly-traded companies, users can automatically invest $1 in those companies' stocks without the need for active management.

Here’s how the process works: each time you make a transaction at a publicly-traded company, Grifin automatically deducts $1 to invest in that company's stock. Weekly transaction totals are compiled, and funds are withdrawn from the user's bank account to complete the stock purchases. For illustration:

• If you buy coffee from Starbucks three times in one week, you invest a total of $3 into Starbucks stock.
• Paying your Verizon and Comcast bills would result in $2 being invested—$1 for Verizon and $1 for Comcast.
• Two trips to Whole Foods, a subsidiary of Amazon, translates into a $2 investment in Amazon stock.
• Lastly, paying your American Express bill results in an automatic purchase of $1 worth of AMEX stock.

In just one week, this could accumulate to an investment of $8 across five different companies based on your transactions.
